Mesa County Elections is undergoing a building remodel to better serve you. As more and more citizens expressed a desire to watch the election process, the elections department recognized the need for additional space to accommodate these requests. Additionally, new state-required security equipment must be installed to ensure the integrity of the election process.

45 1/2 Road has been closed at MM 1.8 on Highway 65 due to a large sinkhole caused by heavy rain and stormwater runoff. Repair crews are working to fix the issue, and the estimated completion time is this weekend (March 25-26).

The Trail Crew at Mesa County Public Health works to plan, create, and maintain trails across the county. Their focus is on increasing access for locals and beginners. When residents have easy access to trails, it encourages physical activity which is beneficial for people’s overall health.

Mesa County Hazardous Waste Collection Facility, 3071 Highway 50, is open to residents to pick up or drop off household hazardous waste from Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
